Providing Encouragement to the Amateur Paintball Players

Team BriefingPaintball is game that is loved by many people around the world. The popularity of this sport has only grown since its invention. Paintball is giving tough competition to the traditional favorites such as basketball and football. Everyone whether big or small, boy or girl enjoys this sport. The popularity of this game is increasing with every passing day. This game is perfectly safe when proper precautions are taken by the participants. But there are inhibitions among people even today; there is reluctance and also a fear of losing the game. Let me share this personal incident with you that demonstrates giving encouragement to amateur Paintball players.

My twelve year old son and two of his pals participated as a team in one of
their first paintball tournaments this weekend. Many other players participating in the tournament did wonderful things for encouraging this young team.

There was a moment when the gun used by one of my son’s friends stopped functioning. However, another participant gave his guns so that all the three boys could continue competing in the tournament as a team.

A lot of the referees and participants from the other teams also praised the young team all throughout the day.  They also gave tips to the young boys for improving their performance and skills.

The consequence of this encouragement had numerous constructive effects. The young team played better with every game. Instead of getting a feeling of dejection after losing the tournament, they analyzed their strengths and weaknesses.  As a result of the motivation received during the previous games, the young team felt motivated to continue playing paintball games. The young team won the final game! They are eagerly waiting for the next paintball tournament after the amazing experience and encouragement received in this tournament.
Are you motivating anyone? It is not important whether you are paintball expert or not in order to provide encouragement to others. You can motivate and encourage anyone living anywhere to play paintball sports. You just have to think the best possible method for doing it. It can be done by becoming a good listener, by using some highly motivating words, through a handwritten note or by providing any help need by the person. It can be anything, big or small, little or more whatever you can do. Someone will surely thank you tomorrow for making their today happy and cheerful.

Conquering Paintball as a Team

Paintball is such a game that needs to be played with tactics and techniques. You should be very well aware of your enemy’s strengths and weaknesses in order to capture the game. Along with this, you should also be aware of your own key points and weaknesses. You must work on your own flaws so that you don’t become an easy target for your enemies.

Other than this, it is crucial that your team has a solid attack and defense plan to conquer the game. Who has to be the sniper (leading shooter), the commencer (attack starter), should be decided before hand. These are just the basic strategies of your assault plan. Your team will need many more refined and super-assault tactics in order to win the paintball game.

Paintball is such a sport that brings out the creative instinct hiding inside you. Your battle plans should not be alternation proof when there is a need for one. If any mistake happens then you should be able to alter the plan to your advantage. It should be understood that a dedicated and amazing paintball player or leader knows the exact strategy that your opponent will use to counter your attack. You should be prepared for all types of reactions from your opponents. You should not get confused, shattered, shocked or nervous if the opponent uses some unknown technique. You should maintain level-headedness and go for another strategy.

Flexibility is an essential part of playing paintball. Even if you are not the best shooter of your team, you should shoot the necessary shots when needed. Your team’s leader must understand each player’s strong and weak points while assigning tasks and positions. If any of your teammate falls then other team players should be able to carry out the job assigned to that player with grace.

While playing paintball games, good communication should be established between team players. You should be able establish a good bond with your fellow team players so that you can understand even the blink of their eye.

Paintball is not only about winning it is also about losing as a team while learning the key points and negative points of your team to conquer the next game.

The Characteristics of A Paintball Leader

Paintball LeaderWhen it comes to becoming a leader, you need to have courage and strong characteristics. This is applicable to paintball sports as well. Although paintball sports can be played by any person of any gender, any people of any age still the criteria to be a paintball team leader is the same. 

For this purpose, a paintball team leader must possess great reputation. Nobody likes taking orders from anybody. Therefore, the person whose orders the paintball team players need to follow must be respectable enough. He must have mastery in organizing the game strategy. He must be prepared to crack any kind of battlefield. Courage and bravery must be his key assets so that when the time comes he can go into the frontline.  A good paintball team leader is the one who is very well-liked and respected by the team members. Along with this, he should also have effective communication skills and clear language.

Below you can see the key qualities that a paintball team leader must possess:

1. Practical know-how and sharp wit:

Practical know-how is a must thing and it does not come easily. To become a paintball leader one must invest a good amount of time for gaining proper knowledge of various strategies.

2. Physical Vigor:

He should be capable of getting into the skin of things. He should also be capable of finding any region where his players can go. Mobility and flexibility are both crucial qualities of a paintball team leader.

3. Majestic appearance and respectable personality

When it comes to any leader his team members must be able to idolize and respect him. If the team members don’t respect or idolize him then they are unlikely to take his orders. Therefore, it is a must that a paintball team leader has an impressionable personality and charismatic aura so that he is respected and followed.

4.  Effective communication skills and amicability

A strong leader speaks with power and confidence. He has got the capacity to make people listen to him.

A paintball leader should be able neglect his own performance for sometime in order to analyze his team’s performance. He should endure every battle.  He must minutely observe the flaws of his team and fortify the strengths. He must have the intelligence to come up with flawless plans when previous plans fail.

He should prove to be an inspiration, a motivating factor for his team members. Once the team is inspired by his presence, the team will definitely win.

How To Guarantee The Safety of Players While Playing Paintball

These precautions are to be taken for making sure that the players are safe and unhurt. Before, the sport was categorized as a war game; many people that played were injured from paintball pistols and air guns. Prior to the inclusion of this game in the war game category, a lot of people were injured due to the paintball pistols.

Previously, this game included the use of non-powder guns. It was during the 1970s when the non-powder guns were put in use for launching paintballs.  As per the reports, about 21,000 American people were badly hurt during that period. 

War games were called as friendly games by the skirmish in their catchphrase. Skirmish, were one of the first paintball fields in America. Later on, the War Games Products first brought in the paintball capsules which could be released by pressured air or CO2. These are much safer and less perilous for the one hit by them.
 
Data collected by the Associated Press, stated that there were 21,000 cases of physical damage reported every year since from the time it was introduced. However, a recent survey done by American Sports Data Inc has relieving news for paintball fans. The figures of this survey state that 8,700,000 people played the game in 2002 and very less number of people were injured during that period. This great change has been brought out by the standardization of the strict safety rules. Also, it is mandatory to follow the rules. A lot of people believe that playing paintball is much better than playing basketball or baseball in terms of the injuries caused while playing these games. 

In accordance to the figures collected by the American Sports Data Inc. survey, public participation in paintball games has overpowered public participation in snowboarding. Constantly increasing popularity of the paintball sport has made it the fourth largest alternative sport in America.

New guidelines and rules have come into play in this sport for ensuring the safety of the players. This sport now reports lesser or very few injury cases due to the compulsory use of improved safety gears. Therefore, this puts the paintball sport in a good light. So, go for it, if you haven’t yet gone for it. There will no regrets, only sheer enjoyment.

How To Make Retreating in a Paintball Game Your Winning Point

paintball teamFor achieving the common goal, participants of a team playing paintball must assume two roles, 1) to suppress and 2) to invade.

By suppressing the opposite team player, you can distract the player from seeing the invasion done by your team. Suppression does not mean striking out your enemies. Caution and attention is needed to stop any opposite team player from shooting.

If your team is trying to put in use the suppression technique, then it must have at least three players. Your team members must know that striking out the members of the other team is not your goal. Any move done while playing this game should be done with sheer accuracy and the aims should be lined up perfectly to ensure the non-alertness of the opponent. Suppression team players are not supposed to aim at a single target concurrently. This should be done to puzzle and confuse the enemy.

At the time of the assault, two or three of the suppression team members continuously engross one of the opposing team’s players for hiding his own team players that are about to intrude the competing team. The tactic of suppression is usually successful in concealing the team players and when done flawlessly destroys the opposite team totally. The opposite team members must retreat or else they will get eliminated.

The next role that the suppression team members have to assume is that of invading. It is very difficult for those team members who are invading as they must conceal themselves completely to avoid getting hit by the opposing team.

There is a need for endurance, control, and order for avoiding getting hit from the opposing team for retaining the position. It should be ensured that your one shot creates enough damage for the opposing team. Aiming at one player of the opposite team ins a minor or negligible way should be avoided and causing major damage should be the aim.

Once they reach the position, they should grab the flag while firing with great energy and entire force. Paintball guns are very loud; therefore, the firing should be done without missing a single aim. It is necessary to keep the opposite team distracted and getting hit by them should be avoided so that the invading players can easily invade. This will be shown by the amount of paint that is shot at the other team.

Goal in Playing Paintball

paintball flagThe right strategy is always important when playing paintball. It helps you to capture the flag and  win over your opponents. For beginners, they must always take note that patience is a key factor in playing this sport since they tend to be more excited and wilder in executing their moves in the battlefield. Before you play paintball, you must always have a goal in mind and meet your objectvive to capture the flag of your opponent’s base.
The flags usually stand on the bases of each team. Every team must have the goal to protect their flags and for the opponents not to reach their bases.When your team catches the other flag, they must make sure that each opponent’s member is eliminated  to ensure that they you have reached your goal.
Before the game starts, each team must have a meeting to discuss the strategy that they will be doing during the game. They must also know the position and assignment of each member and what they need to do in case they are attacked agressively by the other team. They also need a strategy to ensure that they will not be hit by the enemy and to hit all their opponents so that they will not reach your base and capture the flag.

If every team member is confident and knows how to defend and protect themselves from being hit by the enemy, it will be more difficult for the opposing team to win the game. Each team member must look after each other’s backs and accompany them whenever a member from the opposing team attacks.

As with every game, patience is always an advantage. Being too aggressive and excited might ruin the game for you. Always keep your cool and have a plan that will back up each team member in the attack.Always make sure that you follow your leader’s instructions. One member going the other way can ruin the team’s efforts so always be in sync with your leader and your team members as well. Always stick to your leader’s strategy and instructions.

If you are too concerned about being eliminated it will make it harder for you to attack and hit because you might always be trying to conceal yourself.First of all, paintball is just a game. You are there to have fun and not worry about being eliminated. You can always play it again.

The most important thing is the cooperation and sticking to the game plan and instructions that your leader has given you.

Girls Playing Paintball

More Women are Playing PaintballYou are probably one of those girls out there who think paintball is simply a guy thing but actually Iv’e seen a lot of women enjoying the sport. They are also starting to make their presence known in the world of paintball by displaying their intellect in making strategies and even physical strength and endurance. In every major tournament you will observe that there is always a female member who are exceptional. So guys, don’t be over-confident into thinking that you can beat a team just because they have a girl over there.

When you really think about it,girls are actually better suited for the game since they are usually smaller and harder to detect especially when they are wearing camouflages or ghillie suit.s This makes it harder for you to spot and hit them. Also women, tend to be more patient than men which gives them greater advantage. In addition to that, girls have always been better at working as a team.

Most paintball tournaments now have a few girls competing against teams who have all men. They don’t like to be restricted to playing amongst women but always willing to prove themselves greater than men not only in this field but everywhere else.

Many girl paintball teams have already beaten teams with all-men plaers. Girls look meek and fragile but as we all know, appearances can be misleading and this can be used to their advantage since men tend to take down their guard when playing with women.

Getting hit by a paintball can be really painful but women being more tolerant with pain don’t really think about that. They focus their minds on winning the game and when adrenaline kicks in, some paintball girls get hooked since it is exciting and fun to play.

So, if you’re one of those girls who think it’s just for guys, think again. A lot of sports nowadays have women who conquer in that particular field. There are now women basketball players, soccer players and even boxers! Women can be very competitive in every field and endeavor if they want to .

Paintball Is Valuable to Military and Police Officers

Police and Military Playing Paintball Did you know that the military and police officers play paintball to train? Paintball’s recreational purpose receives more attention however, this game isn’t just all for play. It is used for training exercises by the military and police officers too. This game provides training for men and women in combat.

Certain situations are created when this is used as a training ground for police officers. It could be a hostage or terroristic attack situation. It helps prepare the police and soldiers to make sensible choices when confronted with that situation in the real world. It also teaches them how to protect themselves. In the paintball field, when you are shot, you can get right back up again and recover from your mistakes but in the real world, it can cost lives and you can’t undo a mistake.

Paintball is a great way to help train men and women who go  to real-life combat and although we can never predict what will happen in real-life situations, at least these games help them to prepare for those kinds of scenarios and they can act with confidence, patience and sensibility since they need to not only protect themselves but also civilians within the line of fire.

While men and women from the military use this for training, they also have fun doing it as with every other person who play paintball for recreation. In the game, every type of terrain is imaginable. It is usually played in the woods though.This game is called “Woods Ball”.  There are also specific scenarios and parameters. The goal of the game is for one team to protect a fort and the other team to conquer it. There are a lot of variations to the game and it can be played with a lot of fun.

Another type of the game is called “Speed Ball”. It is played in a much smaller area than the woods ball and manmade bunkers are used to cover the players. This type of game is usually timed and the players are eliminated one by one as they are shot. The team who has more players left at the end of the time alloted wins the game.

There’s another game called the air ball. This is also played on a small field with bunkers that are inflatable. This type of game is recommended for experienced paintball players only. In this game, you can run up to somebody and shoot them point-blank. Markers are also allowed to shoot at a high velocity so the shots hurt so much more than other types of paintball games where close-range shots are not allowed.

Both for recreational and practical uses, this game certainly has created a huge following worldwide.

Paintball Squads

paintball squadA Paintball squad is a team of players working together to achieve a common goal and they should be made of not more than 6 members in paintball.  An effective way of playing paintball is by using a squad.  Each squad member should be briefed on the goal set by the team and must be advised on how they can help their team and what position they should take.

Paintball is not just a physical game. It is also a mind game which is why it is always played with strategy and cunning. Paintball does not only consider the physical strength but a good strategy can make you win or lose the game.

Every squad member must know how important they are to the team and how each movement they make can affect the team. A squad member can benefit from being slow in his movement when the asset is near. Often, it is also based on the survival instinct. As a squad member , you must be familiar with the best hiding places and where to position yourself. A distance of five yards from each squad member will make it difficult for the opposing team to spot you.

Patience is a virtue. In this game, it is one of the most important traits that a player can posess. To help you win over your opponents, you must also exercise this trait and not just charge at your opponent. There must be coordination between each member so that you will not be detected by the opposing team. Before each game, the position of each member and the signals given to each other before firing are crucial for the win.

Squad members should also cover their team member’s backs.Team work is a determining factor in every game and most importantly in paintball.

With these things in mind, you certainly have the advantage over your enemies.
