A Ghillie suit is a piece of clothing that incorporates vegetation to help camouflage or conceal a person in the wilderness. They found a strategy in which commanders blend in with the common soldiers and use ghillie suits to keep from being killed. Preferred areas for battle now became the woods instead of open areas because they can conceal themselves. Hidden and more vicious tactics are now preferred in battles.

Ghillie suits are now also popular in paintball since the gamers can camouflage themselves.
